Suspect arrested with illegal firearms

COLOMBO (News 1st); A person has been arrested in the Kavantissapura area in Tissamaharama for illegally manufacturing firearms. Police said that five firearms and a stockpile of weapon manufacturing machines were seized from in his possession. Two others who had bought firearms from the suspect, along with three firearms have been arrested in the Beralihela area in Tissamaharama and are to be produced before the Tissamaharama Magistrate's Court today (17).
