COLOMBO (News 1st); The number of COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in intensive care has dropped by 50%, the Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena says.
He noted, however, that public support is still needed to control the spread of the virus.
Moreover, he also stated that travel restrictions and the existing regulations will be reviewed at the COVID-19 Task Force meeting to be held tomorrow (15), under the chairmanship of the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The Director General of Health Services also points out that at present, there are still some people who do not wear masks properly, and the rise of another COVID-19 wave is inevitable under such circumstances.
