COLOMBO (News 1st); The price of a loaf of bread will be increased by Rs.5/- with effect from midnight today(11th), said the All Island Bakery Owners Association.
The All-Island Restaurant Owners’ Association on Monday (11) announced that the price of a Rice Packet, a Kottu, and a Cup of Milk Tea will be increased by Rs. 10/-.
Litro Gas decided to reduce the prices of domestic gas cylinders for the Colombo District, with immediate effect, after increasing them on Sunday (10) night.
The new prices are as follows:
12.5 Kg – Rs 2,675/-
5 Kg – Rs. 1,071/-
2.5 Kg – Rs. 506/-
Laugfs Gas had also decided to increase its domestic gas cylinder prices with effect from 11th October 2021, for the Colombo District.
12.5 Kg – Rs. 2,840/-
5 Kg – Rs. 1,136/-
Flour and Cement prices have also been increased following the lifting of the Control Price.
Accordingly, Serendib Flour Mills and Prima Ceylon (Private) Limited have decided to increase the price of a kilogram of wheat flour by Rs. 10/- with effect from today.
In addition, the price of a pack of Sanstha Cement has been increased to Rs. 1,098/- and the previous price was Rs. 1,005/-.
