Showers expected from tomorrow: Met Department

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Meteorological Department says that showers can be expected in the southwestern parts of the island from tomorrow (10). Accordingly, thundershowers will occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, North Western, North and North Central Provinces as well as in the Galle and Matara Districts. The Meteorological Department said that 75 mm of rain is expected in some areas. Wind speeds will increase up to 50 km per hour in the western slopes of the Central Hills, North and North Central Provinces and in the Trincomalee and Hambantota Districts.
