Indian Foreign Secretary to visit SL tomorrow (2)

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Foreign Secretary of India, Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla is due to arrive in Colombo for an official visit tomorrow (02).

The foreign secretary is engaging in a visit at the invitation of the Foreign Secretary of Sri Lanka Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage.

Accordingly, the Foreign Secretary's visit will take place from 02 October until 05 October 2021.

The Ministry of External Affairs of India said that as Sri Lanka occupies a central place in India’s ‘Neighbourhood First’ policy, the Foreign Secretary’s visit signifies the importance both countries attach to strengthening their close and cordial relations in all spheres of mutual interest.

The visit of Foreign Secretary is expected to provide an opportunity to review bilateral ties, progress of ongoing bilateral projects and ongoing cooperation to tackle COVID-19 related disruptions.
