Five men nabbed for possession of sharp weapons

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Colombo Crimes Division arrested 05 men employed at a poultry farm in Attanagalle, for the possession of sharp weapons.

Sri Lanka Police said the men were arrested on Wednesday (29) evening after Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Thennakoon received a tip.

04 machetes, a bandana, 06 mobile phones were seized from the possession of the suspects.

Sri Lanka Police said the machetes were discovered from a locker and the men are from Vavuniya and Jaffna.

Police investigations are underway to determine if the men are connected to any crimes.
