COLOMBO (News 1st): A report containing recommendations on recalling public servants for duty once the country opens, will be handed over to Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa today (Sept. 29), the Ministry of Public Services, Provincial Councils, and Local Government said.

Discussions were held recently with several parties including Heads of State Institutions, Health, and Transport authorities, J.J. Rathnasiri, the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Services noted.

Based on the discussions, a final agreement has been reached on a number of requirements that should be met when recalling public sector employees for duty, he added.

The report has been prepared by incorporating those agreements.

A final decision in this regard will be reached once the report is submitted to the Finance Minister today, J.J. Rathnasiri added.
