Pfizer for children over 12 with special needs, from 24th Sept

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka has decided to administer the Pfizer vaccine against COVID-19 to children above the age of 12, with special needs & comorbidities, from 24th September.

The announcement was made by Professor Channa Jayasumana, the State Minister of Production, Supply, and Regulation of Pharmaceuticals.

This vaccination program will commence from the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children and on the 27th of September, it will commence at all other hospitals in the Western Province.

The State Minister said the program will commence across the island from the 04th of October.
