Mahinda Samarasinghe to step down as MP

COLOMBO (News 1st): SLPP MP Mahinda Samarasinghe will be stepping down as a member of the Parliament to take up the post of Sri Lanka's Ambassador to the U.S. and Mexico.
Samarasinghe is slated to replace the former Ambassador to U.S., Ravinatha Ariyasinha as he is due to retire.
