COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police said that one suspect was arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division, over the discovery of a live hand grenade at Lanka Hospitals, Narahenpita.

Police Spokesperson SSP Attorney-at-Law Nihal Thalduwa told News 1st that the Narahenpita Police and the Colombo Crimes Division carried out investigations into the incident on Tuesday (14).

Based on the investigations a 26-year-old male from Trincomalee was arrested on Wednesday (15), he added.

The CCD is carrying out investigtions to ascertain as to why the suspects carried the hand-grenade to the the hospital, said the Police Spokesperson
