Cabraal receives letter of appointment as CBSL Governor

COLOMBO (News 1st): Former State Minister & Former CBSL Governor Ajith Nivard Cabraal has received his letter of appointment as the new CBSL Governor from the President today (15). The newly appointed Governor has stated that providing clarity with regard to the movement of Sri Lanka’s macro-economic fundamentals in the desired path remains his top priority. Cabraal was appointed following the premature retirement of the former Governor, W.D. Lakshman.

Ajith Nivard Cabraal was also functioned as the twelfth Governor, assuming duties in July 2006 and vacating his position in January 2015.
