COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka’s Health Ministry said schools will reopen soon, in accordance with the health guidelines.
The Health Ministry said a decision was reached to form the necessary health guidelines with the Education Ministry in order to reach a policy-based decision on reopening schools.
The Health Ministry also said that 5,000 schools with less than 200 children will reopen soon, and this move will include the reopening of pre-schools and schools that teach up to Grade 06.
These schools are likely to reopen in the coming weeks, and the decision will be made by the Education Ministry, said a statement from the Health Ministry.
