Magnitude 4.1 earthquake in deep seas South of Sri Lanka; NO tsunami threat

COLOMBO (News 1st); A magnitude 4.1 earthquake was reported in the deep seas south of Sri Lanka. The Seismic Monitoring Station of the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau said there was NO Tsunami Threat to Sri Lanka.

Geological Survey and Mines Bureau said the earthquake was recorded some 160

kilometers

 away from Hambantota
