Emergency Regulations not necessary to control food prices: Sarath Fonseka

COLOMBO (News 1st): There are many more regulations that can be used to control food prices and stabilize the economy, SJB MP Sarath Fonseka says. Speaking at the Parliament yesterday, the MP questioned the Government's motives for the imposition of emergency regulations when the disaster management act exists to control any disaster. " There are many other regulations which we can impose. If this Government imposes the emergency law to control the market, I do not think the Government can deal with a war" The MP added.
