Proclamation of Emergency Regulations passed in Parliament

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Proclamation of Emergency Regulations by the President was approved following a debate in Parliament today (6). Votes In Favor: 132 Votes Against: 51 The President enacted the Emergency Regulations for the provision of essential food items in accordance with the powers vested in him under Section 2 of the Public Security Ordinance.
