Over 200,000 persons vaccinated yesterday

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Epidemiology Unit states that 237,334 persons were inoculated with COVID-19 vaccines yesterday (03). Accordingly, the first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine was given to 3,381 persons while its second dose was administered to 383 persons, the first dose of Sinopharm vaccine was given to 2, 883 persons while its second dose to 161,415 persons. The second dose of Sputnik was administered to 7,742 persons while the first dose of Pfizer was given to 26,192 persons. The second dose of Pfizer was administered to 2,408 persons as well. The first dose of Moderna vaccine was given to 145 persons and the second dose was given to 10,785 persons yesterday. The total number of persons in the country who are fully vaccinated has risen to 9 million.
