COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka does not need to the seek help from the International Monetary Fund, said State Minister Ajith Nivard Cabraal on Friday (03).
He told reporters that the government had identified the needs and the requirements for the economy, and they will be addressed considering all stakeholders in the country.
He said the government is confident that this plan will ensure that the country will not default on its obligations.
The State Minister also dismissed allegations that there is a food shortage in the country, adding that the country has sufficient stocks of food for the foreseeable future and beyond.
