Mullah Baradar to lead new Taliban Government

(News 1st): Mullah Baradar, the head of the Taliban's political office, will lead the new Government in Afghanistan, at least three sources in the Islamist group said on Friday. Mohammed Yacoub, the son of the now-defunct Taliban co-founder Mullah Mohammad Omar, will also be co-leading the Government. Moreover, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, the deputy head of the Taliban's political office in Doha, Qatar is also expected take senior positions in the Government, the sources said.
