COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan health authorities are exploring the need to provide a third COVID-19 vaccine dose.
Deputy Director General of Public Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath said a committee is considering this option and all necessary material will be reviewed.
'A third vaccine dose will be provide based on expert committee recommendations,' he said.
The Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena said there is definite decision on a third dose for Sri Lankas, however, necessary approvals will be obtained.
