36 bids submitted for procurement of COVID test kits ; SPC Chairman

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Chairman of the State Pharmaceutical Corporation, Dr. Prasanna Gunasena said when bids were called to import COVID test kits, 36 tenders were submitted.

'This is the highest number of tenders submitted to SPC for procurement,' he added.

Following an evaluation two companies were selected and the tender was awarded to the lowest bidder.

He went on to note that several other companies have forwarded submission for the test kits to be approved and three of those submissions have been approved.
