Showers above 75mm to occur today

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Meteorological Department says that showers above 75mm will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North Western Provinces and in the Galle and Matara Districts today (29). Accordingly, thundershowers will occur at several places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces and in the Galle and Matara Districts. The Department urges the public to take necessary measures to reduce the risk of temporary strong winds and thunderstorms. Meanwhile, the sun will be directly over Sri Lanka from today (29), until 07 September and will be overVellankulam, Murikkandy and Pudukuduirippu areas at 12.11 a.m. this afternoon.
