Over 700 arrested for violating lockdown regulations

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police says that another 705 persons have been arrested for violating lockdown regulations within the last 24 hours. Police said that the relevant suspects were arrested during the operation which was carried out from 6:00 am yesterday (24) to 6:00 am today (25). A total of 58,414 persons have been arrested so far for violating the curfew. Moreover, the Police had inspected 1072 persons entering the Western Province, 735 persons leaving as well as 570 vehicles entering and 458 vehicles leaving.
