Army Vaccination Centers & Mobile Vaccination Fleet to continue operations on Sunday (22)

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Army on Sunday (22) announced that it will continue operating vaccination centers and mobile vaccination fleets to administer the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Army’s first Western Province-based Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination Fleet that prioritizes the vaccination of the elderly, sick, handicapped and feeble sections in society, is a combined effort of the Sri Lanka Army Medical Corps (SLAMC), Directorate of Preventive Medicine and Mental Health, Directorate of Supply and Transport, Sri Lanka Signal Corps, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.

The Mobile Vaccination Fleet will operate in the following areas:

1 X Vehicles for General Area Kalutara/ Palindanuwara
3 X Vehicles for General Area Waduwegama Vimalakirthi Aramaya/Biyagama
3 X Vehicles for General Area Mattakkuliya
2 X Vehicles for General Area Panagoda
1 X Vehicles for General Area Army Headquarters

The deployment of this fleet plus an ambulance on standby would administer the vaccine against COVID-19 visiting doorsteps of applicants only after those who need this mobile service register themselves with the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) through Hotline Nos 1906 or 0112860002.
