186 arrested for violating lockdown

COLOMBO (News 1st): The total number of persons arrested for violating lockdown protocols has risen to 55,842.

Sri Lanka Police said that 186 persons were arrested between 6:00 a.m. yesterday (20) and 6:00 a.m. today (21).

The Police had also inspected 787 vehicles entering the Western Province and 735 vehicles leaving yesterday (20).

Police also inspected 1,437 persons entering the Western Province and 1,261 persons leaving.

471 persons and 191 vehicles have been diverted due to the lack of permission to cross the Provincial borders.
