All travellers to Sri Lanka MUST undergo On Arrival PCR - Health Ministry

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Health Ministry issued new quarantine measures for travellers with effect from the 19th of August 2021.

Accordingly, All travellers, including fully vaccinated travellers, must undergo an 'On Arrival COVID-19 PCR' test (Day One) while staying at a Quarantine Hotel/ Center/ Safe & Secure Certified Level One Hotel. Authorities said PCR tests are not done at the airport and ONLY Rapid PCR is done for those travelling to the UAE. 

If the On Arrival PCR report is negative, travellers who have not received the COVID-19 vaccination or not completed the recommended doses of the vaccination must undergo mandatory quarantine of 14 days.

If the On Arrival PCR report is negative, fully vaccinated travellers will not be required to undergo further quarantine.
