COVID-19 committees to be implemented in every Ministry

COLOMBO (News 1st): Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has instructed to set up COVID-19 preventive committees in every Ministry.

That was informed by the Minister during a discussion with all the Cabinet Secretaries on Zoom Technology on Tuesday (17).

Accordingly, the committee should be set up at the institutional level under one chief executive officer and when an employee of an institution becomes ill or inconvenienced, the committee will take action in accordance with the health guidelines issued by the Government.

In addition, these committees will oversee the proper implementation of the regulations issued by the Government to control COVID-19 in each institution.
