Cabinet nod to import 164 vehicles for essential requirements

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Sri Lankan Cabinet of Ministers has granted approval to purchase & import 164 vehicles for essential requirements of the government.

Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Dullas Alahapperuma speaking at the weekly cabinet briefing said the proposal for 52 Water Bowsers, 50 Ambulances, and 62 Double Cabs was tabled by the Finance Minister, at Tuesday's (17) cabinet meeting.

He said this proposal does not refer to a previous proposal which was made to import several hundred vehicles, including vehicles for Members of Parliament.
