Don't leave home unnecessarily - Army Commander requests public

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka's Army Commander has requested the general public to remain indoors as much as possible during the coming days.

Speaking to News 1st, General Shavendra Silva said the public must act very carefully and urged not to leave home unnecessarily.

'This is a time to be extra careful,' he stressed, adding that the heads of public institutions were informed only to summon essential staff personnel to work, in order the minimize the number of people at the workplace.
