Medical students assigned to treat COVID-19 patients at home

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Health has assigned trained medical students to treat at-home COVID-19 patients.

The Ministry of Health stated that about 400 students who passed their final year examination have been trained for this purpose. They have already been assigned to several areas to conduct at-home treatment for COVID-19 patients. According to the Ministry of Health, more than 4,000 people with COVID-19 are currently under medical supervision at home, and the percentage of those who are being hospitalized has dropped to 5%. The Health authorities further mentions that if person feels fatigued, or feel any other symptoms of COVID-19, to have a COVID-19 test done.
