Gamapaha records dramatic decrease in cases

COLOMBO (News 1st): Gampaha District has recorded a dramatic decrease in COVID-19 patients after several consecutive days of reporting high amounts of COVID-19 patients. According to the National Center for the Prevention of the spread of COVID-19, the highest number of cases have been reported from Kalutara District yesterday (11) at 468 cases. The Gampaha District reported 767 COVID-19 cases on 11 August, however the District has only reported 35 cases yesterday (11). A total of 2,987 COVID-19 patients were reported from the entire country yesterday (11). It is noteworthy that only 35 cases were reported from the Gampaha district yesterday.
