Four websites in connection with human trafficking, suspended

COLOMBO (News 1st): The Colombo Magistrate's Court has issued an order to suspend operations of four websites in connection with a 15-year old girl being sold online, Police Spokesperson SDIG Ajith Rohana says. The order was issued following a request made by the Police Children and Women's Bureau to ban the relevant websites. The Police Spokesperson added that further investigations are being carried out by the Police Children and Women's Bureau while emphasizing that operating such websites can be constituted as an offense.
