COLOMBO (News1st): Dr. Lal Panapitiya, the deputy director-general of Medical Services, has said that authorities are exploring for alternative options due to the spike in cases.

“This was the situation earlier as well and not just due to COVID-19,” Dr. Panapitiya said referring to the capacity of hospitals.

“It is difficult for us to deal with the spike in cases. That is why we are dealing with alternative options”.
