Island-wide survey on those who failed to obtain vaccine

COLOMBO (News 1st); President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has directed the Committee on COVDI-19 to conduct an island-wide survey on all those who had not obtained the COVID-19 vaccine.

At the meeting, it was revealed that a majority (95%) of the COVID-19 victims have not received any dose of the vaccine.

The President had noted that the government had fulfilled its responsibility in importing the vaccine and it is the duty of the general public to obtain the vaccine without delay in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The COVID-19 Committee also focused its attention on making it mandatory to possess the Vaccination Card at all times, especially if one needs to enter government institutions and public places.
