COLOMBO (News 1st); More than 3,500 people have died of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka since the 15th of April 2021 (03rd Wave), said the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

The NOCPCO said from the 15th of April 2021 3,529 people from the Post-Avurudu Outbreak and 09 people from Prisons had died of COVID-19 taking the death toll in the 03rd Wave to 3,538.

According to the NOCPCO, a total of 4,147 people have died of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka.
