Hirunika Premachanda goes to SC against Duminda Silva's release

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Parliamentarian Hirunika Premachanda has filed an application with the Supreme Court.

In her application, she requests the court to make null and void the Presidents' order to release under a Presidential Pardon convicted Ex-MP R. Duminda Silva, who was sentenced to death for the murder of her father.

R. Duminda Silva, an Ex-MP was the 11th defendant in the case filed over the murder of Ex-MP Bharatha Lakshman Premachanda and 03 others.

The Attorney General for the President, the Justice Minister and Duminda Silva were named as respondents in the application.
