38 people with Delta COVID variant detected so far in Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st); Director General of Health Services, Dr. Asela Gunawardena says that 38 people infected with the Delta COVID variant have been detected in Sri Lanka.

He said the patients were found at construction sites in Dematagoda, Jaffna, Piliyandala, Mannar, Borella and Colombo.

He added that further investigations are underway to confirm if their close contacts were also infected.
