Agriculture Ministers probe fertilizer supply at two private companies

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Minister & State Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage and Shasheendra Rajapaksa inspected the Peliyagoda and Kelaniya facilities of two fertilizer companies in the country.

The objective of the visit was to probe the stabilization of fertilizer supplies to the local market, however, the inquiry revealed the supply of fertilizer was not taking place in a proper manner.

Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage said if the delay continues necessary action will be taken to direct the fertilizer stocks to state fertilizer companies.
