07 officers of the AGs Department appointed as President's Counsel

COLOMBO (News 1st); President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed 07 officers of the Attorney General's Department as President's Counsel.

Milinda Gunetilleke, Harippriya Jayasundara, Vikum de Abrew, Shanaka Wijesinghe, Raveendra Pathiranage, Nerin Pulle, Chethiya Goonesekere have been appointed as President's Counsel.

President's Media Division further noted that the group will take oaths in their new positions in the near future and that the Director-General of Legal Affairs of the Presidential Secretariat - Harigupta Rohanadeera has handed over their appointments to the Supreme Court Registrar.
