Finance Min. to prioritize the implementation of 'Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour'

COLOMBO (News 1st); The newly appointed Minister of Finance Basil Rajapaksa said that he will prioritize the implementation of the National Policy Framework 'Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour' in the country.

Minister Basil Rajapaksa made this statement during a meeting with former Provincial Councilors of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna.

The former provincial council representatives had expressed confidence in Basil Rajapaksa's ability to revive the economy the same way it was done in 2006 and 2007.

The attendees had pointed out that during the war in 2006, 2007 and 2008 when Sri Lanka's foreign reserves fell to USD 1.2 billion Basil Rajapaksa was successful in uplifting the rural economy.

While noting that he would make it is top most responsibility to implement the National Policy Framework Vistas of Prosperity and Splendour, Basil Rajapaksa had noted that he will dedicate himself to fulfil his duties to the party as well as the country.

The Finance Minister said that he expects the support of everyone for this endeavour.
