Pfizer jab for students travelling overseas for higher-studies

COLOMBO (News 1st): The remaining doses of the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine brought to Sri Lanka from the United States of America will be administered to selected students who are planning to travel overseas for higher studies, the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said. "The remaining doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be administered to selected students who must travel to countries that had made being inoculated with the Pfizer BioNTech jab, a requirement," Army Commander General Shavendra Silva, the Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) told News 1st on Friday (Jul. 09). Accordingly, the Pfizer jab will be administered at the Army Hospital, to selected students who had already registered with the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak. The other remaining doses of the Pfizer jab will be administered to fishermen in the Mannar area since they travel to the boundaries of India for fishing activities, the Army Commander further noted.
