Central bank report debate postponed

COLOMBO (News1st): A debate on a central bank report, scheduled for tomorrow, has been postponed following a party leaders meeting. This comes as the government said it would propose the debate, with the opposition saying that it would be done by opposition lawmaker Anura Kumara Dissanayake. "I attended the business committee meeting and it was clearly stated that it would be Anura Kumara Dissanayake's adjournment motion tomorrow. How can that change now?" opposition leader Sajith Premadasa said. But the leader of the house, Dinesh Gunawardana, said the opposition was allowed to table two adjournment motions this week, and the next turn belongs to the government.
