COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan authorities have reportedly released 40 acres of land from the Island of Delft in Jaffna to a Chinse firm to commence a sea cucumber farm, alleged TNA MP S. Sridharan.

‘Important documents with respect to lands in Jaffna were taken to Anuradhapura despite serious objections,’ he said adding that however, the documents were returned to the Jaffna Secretariat thereafter.

The TNA MP also said there is an attempt to sell the Jaffna Old Town Office, originally built by the Dutch, to another Chinese firm.
