Sri Lanka's Epidemiology Chief transferred to Dengue Prevention Unit

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Epidemiology Chief Dr. Sudath Samaraweera was transferred on Friday (18) to the National Dengue Control Unit of the Ministry of Health.

Director General of Health Services Dr. Asela Gunawardena speaking to News 1st said Dr. Samaraweera will serve as Director of the National Dengue Control Unit.

Dr. Samitha Ginige was appointed as the acting Director of the Epidemiology Unit, he said.

Dr. Aruna Jayasekera who was serving as the Director of the National Dengue Control Unit was appointed as acting Director of the Kandy National Hospital
