COLOMBO (News1st): Attorney at law Ranjith Meegaswatte has complained that one of the vehicles of state minister Nalaka Godahewa had collided with his vehicle earlier this year. His remarks came days after state minister Godahewa claimed that two of his vehicles are not in an operational condition, and are in the garage. "His vehicles are in the garage because they did not drive the vehicle properly," Meegaswatte said. He noted that state minister Godahewa had left the scene of the incident following the accident. "As a minister, he didn't pay even the slightest attention towards the damages caused to my vehicle," the lawyer remarked. He pointed out that the CCTV report on the incident had been prepared swiftly, within 30 minutes since the incident. "I don't know who intervened into this from the Police Headquarters," Attorney at Law Meegaswatte said. "The matter was taken up in court on the 18th. They accepted the mistake and then paid the fine".
