28 Ayurveda Hospitals to treat COVID-19 patients

COLOMBO (News 1st): The State Ministry of Indigenous Medicine Promotion, Rural and Ayurveda Hospitals Development and Community Health has taken to obtain 28 Ayurvedic Hospitals to treat COVID-19 patients. The hospitals include the Borella, Navinna, Hambantota, and Kaithadi-Jaffna Ayurveda Hospitals that come under the purview of the Central Government, Geethamani Karunaratne, the Secretary to the State Ministry of ​Indigenous Medicine Promotion told News 1st on Friday (Jun. 18). Moreover, 24 Ayurveda Hospitals that come under the purview of the Local Councils will also be taken over for the treatment of COVID-19 patients. According to Karunaratne, the 28 Ayurvedic Hospitals could provide facilities for close to 2500 patients.
