COLOMBO (News 1st): The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has taken measures to institute legal action against the sale of liquid gas cylinders that do NOT meet the standard weight, on the charges of misleading customers.
A case was filed at the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday (Jun. 16), against a shop in Colombo 02 for the sale of gas cylinders that did NOT meet the standard weight, the Consumer Affairs Authority said on Thursday (Jun. 17).
The case was also filed against the company in Wattala, which supplied gas cylinders to the shop and Litro Gas Lanka Ltd.
The defendants named in the case were issued summons on Wednesday (Jun. 16).
The case will be taken up again on the 28th of October.
