'Ministers drive old vehicles', complains Godahewa (VIDEO)

COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lankan State Minister Dr. Nalak Godahewa claimed that he is using his private vehicle for official engagements despite being entitled to 03 vehicles from the state.

"I am using my private vehicle because the two other vehicles issued to me are not in working condition. Those vehicles were sent for repairs," he told reporters.

"Have a look at the condition of the vehicles used by Ministers. Our Ministers are not using luxury vehicles, as alleged the people," he said while noting that newly elected Minister are given vehicles that are almost a decade old.

He said some politicians in the country still use public transports and they are entitled to a new vehicle.
