COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested 975 people on Friday (04) for violating the quarantine rules and regulations.
A total 22,950 people were arrested for violating the quarantine rules and regulations since the 30th of October 2020.
147 people were nabbed in Matale while 80 people were arrested in Nikaweratiya for violating the quarantine rules and regulations.
Sri Lanka Police also carried out a survey on Friday (04) on the vehicles entering the Colombo City.
According to Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana 59,280 vehicles had entered the Colombo City on Friday adding it is a less number compared to the previous days.
