Suspect in custody dies of drug overdose

COLOMBO (News 1st); An ICE overdose was ruled as the cause of death of a suspect who died while in police custody, a postmortem revealed.

The Batticaloa Police arrested a 22-year-old male for the possession of 25 mg of ICE and were hospitalized hours later after he suddenly fell ill.

The deceased was a residence of Batticaloa and an investigation is underway.
