COLOMBO (News 1st); The price of the Sinopharm vaccine is a matter discussed by countries with the manufacturer, said Sri Lanka’s Government Spokesperson Minister Keheliya Rambukwella on Tuesday (01).

The minister was commenting on the recent allegations that claim Sri Lanka is purchasing the Chinese vaccine for a much higher price compared to other countries.

“If there is an issue with the procurement process, it can be addressed,” he said.

Joint Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Udaya Gammanpila said the Sri Lankan Government cannot comment on the price of a vaccine, as the price is determined by the Chinese Government.
